  • The process begins with a free consultation, a 15-minute conversation over Zoom or over the phone to discuss your project, assess objectives, time commitment, and deliverables, and make sure we’re a good fit. I’ll follow up with a proposal for review that reiterates the project summary and includes a projected timeline and estimate for cost of services. Once the proposal is approved, you’ll receive a contract requiring both a signature and a deposit. We’ll proceed with the proposed timeline as soon as I’ve received both the signed contract and deposit. A confidentiality agreement will also be available upon request.

  • What comes next will vary based on the project, though in most cases we’ll start with an hour-long meeting – either in person or over Zoom, based on geography and/or your personal preference – to talk further about the project and the desired style, tone, and intent of the commissioned writing. Whether I’m editing pre-existing text, writing social media posts and/or marketing materials, or ghostwriting an email, essay or article, a successful outcome requires open dialogue, and honest communication. In short, it will be a collaborative effort with the expected number of client meetings and email exchanges outlined in the contract. In all cases, the working relationship will be judgment free and confidential.

  • If the scope of the project expands beyond the original agreement the fee will be amended according to the terms presented in the contract.

  • While I offer a $150/hour rate for small projects, the fees for larger, more time-intensive jobs are project-specific, based on scope of work and projected time commitment and calculated with a reduced hourly rate.

  • Works for me. If you’re simply looking for general feedback on a pre-existing piece of copy, you’ll only be charged for the time it takes for me to review the document and for us go over it together. I’ll then send you a follow up summary of my thoughts and our conversation for you to refer to throughout your editing process.

  • Yes. Discretion is a beautiful thing.

  • Nope. If I do my job correctly, from the onset, you are the author. I am simply the translator.

  • Most definitely. I can’t stress this enough. Even when I am writing something on your behalf, the process is meant to be a collaborative one, with me essentially interviewing you throughout so that the final product reflects your unique voice and vision. I sign off when you are confident and comfortable claiming the words as your own.
